These delicious dark chocolate brownies are made with a naturally gluten free flour, made from chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans). This high fibre food can improve heart health, helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and prevent diabetes.
This is a versatile recipe, ideal for someone (like me) who hates having to be too fussy about measuring every ingredient. Close is good enough to make this yummy treat!
Directions
1First, pre-heat oven to 325° F and prepare 9 x 9 inch glass baking dish by coating it with coconut oil
2Carefully melt 3/4 cup chocolate chips and coconut oil in double boiler or in a bowl placed in a pot of boiling water
3Mix dry ingredients in one bowl
4Mix together wet ingredients in a medium sized bowl
5Combine wet and dry ingredients together
6Mix in 1/4 cup chocolate chips
7Using a spatula, scoop brownie mix into prepared baking dish and bake for 20 minutes
8If you can, let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares. Our's are often half eaten before they've had a chance to cool:)
Options:
1Add 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts to batter
