You know how much I love smoothies, but sometimes it's just too cold outside! Here's a smoothie recipe that will warm you up while giving you all the nutrients you need. Energizing, satisfying and yummy!

Directions

1Wash and chop apple - no need to peel

2Heat coconut oil in small saucepan and add apple, water, chia and cinnamon, stir until warmed through

3Add all ingredients (except yogourt and trail mix) to a small food processor or blender and blend until smooth

4Garnish with a dollop of yogourt and trail mix

Ingredients

1 large sweet apple

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon plain organic full fat yogourt

1/2 tablespoon hydrolyzed collagen (optional)

1/4 teaspoon spirulina (or more if you can hack it!)

2 tablespoons of trail mix or mixed nuts and seeds
